I happen to think UA is not only useful, but extremely handy in endgame. There is always that one person who just can't seem to stay alive and what better skill to bring for that than a res? A res that also increases your healing output!

It's a double use button and not a wasted 'just in case' space, if someone might die. There is also the added benefit of being able to res someone practically instantly.

I think some people are just stubborn and refuse to bring an elite that they cannot constantly mash, because not being able to constantly mash it must mean that it's not working!!

A long, long time ago, I was selling feathers for 10k (back when that was the average price), someone freaked out at me, accusing me of scamming and threatened to report me for charging too much - so I checked trader, feathers had dropped but were still over 10k/stack - some people are just odd

That's exactly what I was talking about. It happens to me all the time.

I think some people just look at the price materials show when you move the mousepointer over them in your bags, and completely freak out when you ask a markup over the trader's price. Whatever their excuse, they're stupid and annoying.

I always bought feathers 10k/stack... Annoyingly, when they dropped at trader I was buying them for more from players than I could spamming Buy Ten from trader =/

Not the stupidest thing I've heard, but it's something I'm getting fed up with. It's been happening all the time lately, probably because of the high prices: people trying to buy materials off me for less than what I can sell them for to the trader, and behaving like jerks when I point this out to them.
Not a fan of this either, a couple of people I've pointed this out and they have added the very bare minimum they can to buy for more than the trader. Wheres the incentive to sell to people like that? I've even said to a few thats a good bargain for you, how about me? They just didn't understand where I was coming from

One guy was buying steel in Kamadan that way, think he was paying a few gold over the traders buying price, he was there all day. I logged off went for dinner etc. and logged on later that night, there he is, almost top of the P trade window still trying for cheap steel. If he had just offered a reasonable price he could've been back killing for drops etc. in 5 minutes

Also, every 5 minutes, it will come to life and just instakill a SF/Discord hater that keeps saying this game should be played their way (I don't use discord myself) whatever they are doing. Preferably like when they're about to kill Kanaxai. After he killed them, he will use the monster skill "HRRRRUUUUUKKK" and he will take a huge crap on top of the players corpse. Afterwards he will come back to LA and tell the tale of the slain hater. We will all sit around him and listen, and after he's done talking, he'll turn back into a statue, and we'll all dance around him singing the "Hater's gonna hate song."

Lyrics will be as followed:

Haters will always be around
telling us how to play,
making their horrible whining sound,
but of course we all know what to SAAAAAY

Hater's gonna hate,
Hater's gonna hate,
Hater's gonna HAAAATTTEE,
Well, hater's are gonna hate!

Er... can't figure what's the point of this post. We've been asked to post the stupidest thing we've come across in GW (while playing...). If you wanna contribute don't do it on Guru, do it on the game please...

Anyways, too bad we're not asked to post stupidest thing we've read in Guru aswell as this post would've been a hell of an example.

ONTOPIC:

I think this is pretty familiar to everyone - More than once when ABing or whatever I've been engaged by someone from the other team and I just love and laugh when they die on 1on1 and simply say "You noob!! Play FAIR!!!" hehe

Either I'm cheating, or prob. in some cases if you're melee you should watch out for anti-melee spells lool

I'll try to post some screenies and more stuff if I can

Doing ZB the other day, Grasping Darkness, this Assassin (rofl), trying to tell everyone he's king of UW, showing us he had 135 Stones. So I open up my storage and show him my 478 stones (from numerous runs, never a speed clear, never bought, some were gifts, but only very few), and he shut up. So then, he tries to take control of the party, and says if we can answer his question correctly, he'll stop taking charge. His question: "How many reapers are in the Underworld?". I, among 3 other party members, say 7, and tells us we're wrong, and that there's 8, because King Frozenwind is classified as a reaper. This isn't right is it? I didn't think so

If I saw that in-game, my response would probably be "WKLJBASFKJLN" because my head would hit the keyboard.

And then there are the folks who balk at spending a plat on a skill from a vendor...
I don't play my rit much, but the first thing I did with mine was get all the best elites. ST, SoS, DwG, SoGM, even a few that aren't popular.

Why can't people be more flexible?

How about you skip the deaths and the resses, and bring a healing skill that will actually do something?
My vote for stupidest thing I read on Guru.

1. UA has increased healing, it's meant to be used on a frontliner or caller because they are most likely to die.

2. It rezzes at FULL energy and can't be interrupted like other rezzes.

3. What's not to like about a skill that heals and rezzes?

I mean I'm not married to the skill, but having a UA monk means you only need one other character with a rez (for that monk) freeing up bars for more DPS and goodness.

They were deadly serious.
This actually isn't as stupid as it sounds. Spirit attacks do have longbow range, but most of the time they confine themselves to attacking whichever target their 'master' happens to be attacking/casting on. (mobs in your aggro bubble) If you use a longbow to attack distant enemies, you can get your spirits to attack a faraway target that they normally would ignore. We do this in speed clears to pick off stationary targets such as island guardians.

I agree with this. UA(and HB) are meta for a reason, while they are the best monk elites for general PvE, a skilled monk can always spice things up by bringing another elite. Of course when pugging, UA is best because it can make unskilled pugs succeed.
